Atlantans have long thought that our city was immune to the radical ups and downs experienced in other markets.  Not so.  Maybe we've seen less of a decline than others and will recover more quickly than others, but this has been a wild ride nonetheless.

So, where are we now?  Which areas of town are showing signs of rebound?  What price range is coming back first?  Where are the deals now?  Will your home ever sell?

Several of Atlanta's close-in suburban neighborhoods are showing significant signs of increased market activity.  Does that mean we've hit the bottom in those areas?  Maybe.  Maybe not.  Unfortunately, we'll only know the answer to that in hindsight.  However, becoming an educated buyer or seller is your best offense in a volatile market.

Please use the reports below as merely a snapshot of what the market has done in the recent past, not a prediction of what it will do in the future.  We have opinions, and you will find some of them in these reports.  But please remember, they are only our opinions based on what we see in the market everyday.  Have further questions?  Ready to buy or sell?  Email us at carter@carterbellproperties.com.

Second Quarter 2009 reports will be posted the week of July 6, 2009 as month-end sales are updated in the MLS.
